Mini SAS SFF-8087 to 4x SATA 7-Pin Internal Forward Breakout Cable

The Mini SAS SFF-8087 to 4x SATA 7-Pin Internal Forward Breakout Cable is designed to connect a Mini SAS–enabled RAID controller or motherboard to up to four SATA hard drives or SSDs.

This internal forward breakout cable uses a 36-pin Mini SAS SFF-8087 connector on the host side and splits into four standard 7-pin SATA data connectors for direct drive connections. It is commonly used in servers, workstations, NAS systems, and RAID storage configurations.

Each SATA connector features a latching mechanism to prevent accidental disconnections, ensuring reliable operation in vibration-prone server environments. The cable supports data transfer rates up to 6Gb/s and is suitable for SATA and SAS-compatible controllers operating in SATA mode.

Important compatibility note:

This is a forward breakout cable. The Mini SAS SFF-8087 connector must be located on the RAID controller or motherboard. It will not function if connected to a Mini SAS backplane.
